Ryder System, Inc. in Modesto, CA is hiring a Permanent Full Time Warehouse Clerk. The role includes handling food products, operating a handheld RF scanner and WMS, and coordinating with carriers and customers.

Base pay is $23.23/hr plus $0.75/hr for 2nd shift with overtime at $34.84/hr. Schedule is Monday–Friday 3:00 PM–12:00 AM in a safety‑driven facility. We offer on‑the‑job training, medical/dental/vision and a 401(k) with company match, paid time off, employee discounts, and safety gear

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience as a warehouse clerk in a distribution environment.
• Strong decision-making aligned with customer and Ryder.
• Excellent written, organizational, and verbal communication.
• MS Office knowledge (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of WMS systems preferred.
• Experience operating forklift equipment preferred.
• Equipment certification may be required.

Mansioni

• Performs admin tasks for area or shift and maintains SOP filing.
• Generates reports, memos, and summaries, often technical/confidential.
• Coordinates with clerks, customers, and providers.
• Identify, resolve, and correct discrepancies in warehouse, transport, and inventory.

Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay $23.23 per hour


• Additional Pay: $.75 per hour when working 2nd Shift


• Overtime Pay: $34.84 per hour


• Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday - Friday 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred


• Experience as a clerk in a warehouse / distribution environment, performing duties such as transportation coordination, inventory, shipping / receiving, coordinating with various carriers, vendor and customers strongly preferred


• Ability to make quick, reliable decisions that represent both the customer and Ryder


• Strong written, organizational, and verbal communication skills


• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)


• Knowledge of WMS systems preferred


• Experience operating forklift equipment preferred


• Equipment certification may be required

Responsibilities

• Performs adminstrative tasks for area or shift. Maintains filing systems and documents per SOP


• Generates daily, weekly, or monthly reports, memos, and summaries often of a technical and/or confidential nature


• Coordinates activities with clerks from other areas, the customers, and providers


• Recognize, resolve, and correct discrepancies pertaining to the warehouse, transportation, and inventory


• Gather from and provide information to employees pertaining to area of support


• Using the location's Warehouse Management System (WMS), update area or shift metrics as needed


• Depending on location, employee may be required to operate equipment and may be required to be equipment certified


• Additional duties as assigned, overtime as needed
