Job summary

Option Care Health in Chantilly, VA is seeking a team-oriented candidate for a warehouse/inventory role supporting home infusion services. You will manage supply orders, coordinate with clinicians, and ensure timely deliveries while maintaining accurate inventory and compliance with privacy guidelines.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma, strong communication skills, and basic PC proficiency. Travel up to 50% may be required; on-site work with a collaborative team environment is

Responsibilities

• Direct patient contact to ascertain supply needs and coordinate shipping with clinicians and pharmacy.
• Purchase supplies, source cost-effective products, and minimize freight costs.
• Maintain inventory and monitor equipment tracking; participate in physical inventory.
• Safeguard confidentiality of patient and company information.
• Complete QAR forms and assist with medication/equipment incident reporting.
• Possibly on-call responsibilities.
• Accept other duties as assigned by General Manager.

Job Description Summary

This job description outlines the primary functions and responsibilities of the position. It is a guide for accomplishing company and department objectives and is not a comprehensive list.

Job Responsibilities

• Direct patient contact to ascertain supply needs as designated by the clinician and establish relationship with client. Communicate information to appropriate personnel and document accordingly. Generate patient orders on system. Coordinate and execute shipping schedule. Communicate with Nurse and Pharmacist to ensure availability of patient supplies and confirm deliveries.
• Purchase all supplies for inventory, following correct purchasing procedures. Source cost‑effective products as directed by clinicians and Option Care product contracts. Minimize the cost of freight of product ordered and shipped to the pharmacy. Be knowledgeable of products and their usage.
• Maintain accurate inventory. Be accountable for discrepancies. Participate in physical inventory. Implement “inventory control” and establish minimum order quantity amounts. Monitor equipment tracking and maintenance. Obtain cost‑effective rental equipment.
• Observe legal and ethical guidelines for safeguarding the confidentiality of patient and proprietary Option Care information.
• Participate in the process for assessing, managing, and reporting medication‑related incidents and equipment errors and/or failures. Accurately complete QAR forms and forward them to the general manager.
• Participate in on‑call responsibilities if required.
• Accept other responsibilities and duties that may be assigned by the General Manager.

Basic Education And/or Experience Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Basic Qualifications & Interests

• Experience communicating verbally on phone, one‑on‑one, and in writing emails, letters, reports, to various audiences such as work groups, team, company management, external vendors.
• Basic PC skills (for example: startup and shutdown computer, use mouse to point and click, start and close programs, switch between programs, save files, print documents, access information online).
• Basic email skills, internet explorer (sending, receiving, and organizing communications).

Travel Requirements

• Willing to travel at least 50% of the time for business purposes.

Preferred Qualifications & Interests (PQIs)

• Prior experience working in a warehouse or delivery setting.

Due to state pay transparency laws, the full range for the position is below:

Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Pay Range is $18.17-$30.27
