POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse Commercial Driver - Class A is responsible for safely and efficiently loading/unloading and dropping off/picking up materials from various vendors and construction sites. The secondary responsibilities include warehouse yard assistance.

Primary Duties, Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload materials, requires driving a Forklift
  • Organizing load for multiple drop-off locations.
  • Properly secure and strap down load on flatbed trailer for delivery of materials.
  • Maintain a delivery log and keep delivery receipts organized.
  • Perform a daily pre-trip inspection of vehicle.
  • Maintain vehicle and equipment maintenance history.
  • Assist in yard clean up during down time.
  • Working hours: 6:00am- 2:30pm.
  • Work overtime if needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Good verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to maintain diplomacy and professionalism while engaged in high pressure situations.
  • Operate a tractor trailer efficiently and safely
  • Drive and operate forklift
  • Organized and detailed oriented.
  • Safety conscious.

Education / Experience:

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. 5 years plus flatbed experience is preferable. Current Commercial Class A license with an up to date medical card.

Physical Capabilities:

  • Ability to walk, stand, lift, push and pull for the entirety of the work shift.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Anything heavier will be assisted.
  • Ability to push and pull several hundred pounds on carts and pallets.
  • The employee will frequently be exposed to weather elements such as rain or sun.

Pay: Final pay is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. For (Colorado/New York City/California/Washington) this ranges from $$27.00/hr -$36.00/hr plus annual incentive, benefits and retirement program as outlined above.
