Job summary

Experience Champaign Urbana is looking for a Warehouse Closer to safely operate and maintain equipment, handle order routing, and ensure warehouse cleanliness. This on-site position requires physical strength and attention to detail.

Job Summary

1. Must be able to safely operate all plant equipment necessary to perform job duties.
2. Route orders and print pick lists in VIP.
3. Optimize pallet configuration and truck loading in WebTL for express orders.
4. Pick orders and build pallets safely, accurately, and efficiently, by following the assigned pick path. Ensure all products are visible to the checker.
5. Refill low product in all floor locations and in roller racks, as necessary, throughout the shift.
6. Load staged product safely onto full line and express trucks, as needed.
7. Remove plastic wrap from pallets and level off all pallets.
8. Properly stack all empty shells in dunnage area. Wrap full pallets of empty shells and move to the proper staging area.
9. Tear down returned pallets and return product to proper locations.
10. Cleaning duties include, but are not limited to:
    1. Sweeping area and behind pallets
    2. Wash floors with the floor scrubber.
    3. Clean off and plug in forklifts and pallet jacks.
    4. Clean and sort damaged product area
    5. Empty and wash all garbage cans
    6. Wash company vehicles
    7. Assist with the organization and cleanliness of the entire facility – interior and exterior.
11. Assist with any warehouse projects, as delegated by the Warehouse Manager or Assistant Manager.
12. Remain on site until all warehouse closing duties have been completed, the plant is ready to be closed, and/or you are dismissed by your supervisor.

Requirements

1. Must have the ability to operate a forklift in a safe manner and maintain annual forklift certification (applies to 18 or older employees).
2. Ability to continually lift 25 pounds from floor to waist height and occasionally lift 50 pounds from floor to shoulder height.
3. Applicant must be physically able to lift 31 to 40 pounds about sixty times per hour; 11 to 20 pounds about 20 times an hour, over 50 pounds around six times an hour
4. Basic math skills
5. Ability to effectively communicate.

7. Prolonged standing, walking, sitting, twisting, and bending.
8. A repetitive motion of wrist, fingers, and arms.

Pay Range: $17 - $18 per hour
