Job summary

Mid Cal Labor is seeking a Warehouse Clerk / Parts Runner to support the Parts Supervisor and Service Center Manager. Duties include clerical work, inventory maintenance, and delivering parts to customers. You will check parts against packing lists, prepare items for shipment, operate a forklift, and help maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment.

A valid driver's license and basic computer skills are required. High school diploma or GED is preferred; warehouse experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills for clerical tasks and inventory systems.
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and physical stamina for warehouse work.

Responsibilities

• Check parts against packing list and identify receiving issues or damage.
• Identify and label part numbers before adding to inventory.
• Assist in setting up storage locations and maintain cleanliness and order.
• Pull parts for sales reps and field service mechanics as needed.
• Retrieve parts from stock per orders or shipping lists.
• Prepare parts for shipment and build shipping containers as needed.
• Deliver parts to customers when required.
• Receive and check stock orders, repackage and label bulk shipments.
• Prepare engine, transmission, and cylinder cores for return to the distribution center.
• Assist with proper storage and disposal of EPA-controlled waste.
• Maintain neat personal appearance and keep company vehicle clean.
• Keep the work area tidy and floors clear of debris.
• Operate a vacuum and restock supplies as needed.
• Empty trash and manage waste as required.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.

Job Summary

The Warehouse Clerk / Parts Runner reports directly to the Parts Supervisor & Service Center Manager. Duties include clerical work, assisting with inventory maintenance, maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse, and delivering parts to customers.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Checks all parts against the packing list, identifying receiving problems or freight damage.
• Ensure identification part numbers are on each part before adding them to inventory.
• Assists the supervisor in setting up new storage locations and helps maintain cleanliness and order in these locations.
• As needed, pulls parts from inventory for sales representatives and field service mechanics.
• Retrieves parts as directed by sales order or shipping lists.
• Prepares parts for shipment, including building shipping containers as necessary.
• Picks up or delivers parts to customers when required.
• Receives and checks stock orders, repackages, and numbers parts shipped in bulk packages.
• Prepares engine, transmission, and cylinder cores to be returned to the distribution center.
• Assists supervisors in the proper storage and disposal of EPA-controlled waste.
• Promotes and enhances company image by maintaining a neat personal appearance and by keeping the company vehicle in a clean, polished, and orderly condition.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area. Sweeps and keeps assigned shipping floors clean.
• Operates a vacuum and restocks towels and tissue in the cabinet as necessary.
• Empty all trash bins into dumpsters.
• Operates forklifts.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills
• Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record to be insurable by the corporate insurance carrier.
• The job requires some stooping, bending, climbing, and the capability of lifting 50 pounds.
• Warehouse experience preferred.
• Basic carpentry skills would be a plus.
