Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Miramar, FL is hiring a Permanent Full Time Warehouse Clerk to support our facility. You will work in a fast-paced distribution environment using pallet jacks and state-of-the-art equipment.

Responsibilities include clerical tasks, reporting, and coordinating with floor teams. This role offers weekly pay, on-the-job training, PTO, 401(k) match, employee discounts, safety gear, and opportunities to grow within our logistics network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• 1+ year clerical or warehouse experience is preferred.
• 1+ year forklift equipment experience is preferred.
• 1+ year Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities with clerks and other floor areas.
• Use the location's WMS system to update area metrics.
• Generate reports, memos, and summaries.
• Perform floor work and additional duties as assigned.
• Handle basic administrative tasks and filing.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• One (1) year or more clerical or warehouse experience preferred
• One (1) year or more experience operating forklift equipment preferred
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities with clerks from other floor areas, the customer and/or other suppliers as needed.
• Using the location's WMS system updates area or shift metrics as needed.
• Generates daily, weekly or monthly reports, memos, and summaries often of a technical and/or confidential nature.
• Floor work and additional duties as assigned.
• Performs basic administrative tasks for area or shift. Maintains filing systems and documents.
• Gathers from and provides information to floor employees in his/her area of support.
• Coordinates activities/meetings/communication for the specific area or shift.
• Performs other duties as assigned depending on area supported or if location specific.
