Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Minooka, Illinois is hiring a Permanent Full Time Warehouse Clerk to join our team, supporting state-of-the-art equipment and a safe, efficient warehouse environment.

The role pays $21.50 per hour with a $0.50 shift differential, with weekly pay. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and employee discounts. Experience in clerical or warehouse operations and proficiency with Microsoft Office are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year clerical or warehouse experience preferred.
• 1+ year forklift experience preferred.
• 1+ year Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities with clerks from other floor areas, the customer, and suppliers.
• Update area metrics using the location's WMS system.
• Generate daily/weekly/monthly reports and memos.
• Perform floor work and additional duties as assigned.
• Conduct basic administrative tasks and maintain filing systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year or more clerical or warehouse experience preferred
• One (1) year or more experience operating forklift equipment preferred
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates customer service skills.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities with clerks from other floor areas, the customer and/or other suppliers as needed.
• Using the location's WMS system updates area or shift metrics as needed.
• Generates daily, weekly or monthly reports, memos, and summaries often of a technical and/or confidential nature.
• Floor work and additional duties as assigned.
• Performs basic administrative tasks for area or shift. Maintains filing systems and documents.
• Gathers from and provides information to floor employees in his/her area of support.
• Coordinates activities/meetings/communication for the specific area or shift.
• Performs other duties as assigned depending on area supported or if location specific.
