Smithfield Foods, Inc. in Sioux Falls seeks a Warehouse Clerk to verify shipments, prepare orders, and maintain precise records to keep operations running smoothly.

The position summary states the general nature and purpose of the job. Overall accountabilities are defined in this section. As a Warehouse Clerk, you’ll take charge of verifying every incoming and outgoing shipment with precision, keeping detailed records that ensure nothing slips through the cracks. You’ll also prepare products for shipment, making sure every order is ready to move quickly and accurately. Documentation & Reporting - Manage all paperwork related to the movement of goods and materials—everything from bills of lading and order forms to price lists, pick tickets, credits, write-offs, and SAP inventory adjustments. Prepare detailed reports on inventory, price lists, variances, and daily pick tickets using specialized software or Excel, providing essential insights for the team.
Scheduling & Inventory Support - Coordinate and schedule receiving and shipping appointments to keep the flow of goods seamless. Support monthly inventory counts by generating count sheets for the warehouse floor and entering data into SAP, helping ensure accuracy and accountability.
Equipment & Maintenance Tracking - Track maintenance and service records for all warehouse machinery and equipment, keeping everything in top working condition to avoid downtime.
Administrative Duties - Process and distribute weekly reports to accounting for proper chargebacks to respective companies. Organize and file all daily requisitions efficiently, maintaining easy access and record accuracy. Answer phones professionally and contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Ability to perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office, SAP and other office equipment. Ability to multi-task in a fast paced setting, problem solve and effectively work in a team environment. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
General knowledge of warehouse/inventory procedures, a plus. Bilingual, preferred.
