Job summary

Carolina International Trucks in South Carolina seeks a Warehouse Clerk to support the parts warehouse in Charleston. The role involves receiving, storing, and distributing parts to fulfill customer orders accurately and on time.

You will manage inventory, operate forklifts, and maintain a clean, organized workspace. Strong attention to detail, bilingual English/Spanish, and basic computer skills are preferred. Weekly pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receiving: Inspect incoming parts, verify quantities and part numbers, log items into the inventory system, and operate forklifts.
• Storing: Organize parts in designated locations, label parts for easy retrieval, and maintain a clean warehouse.
• Distributing: Pick and pack parts for outgoing orders, verify parts before shipping, and prepare packing slips and labels.
• Inventory Management: Assist with periodic counts and identify discrepancies.
• Equipment Maintenance: Operate warehouse equipment safely and perform basic maintenance.
• Other Duties: Support warehouse projects and complete local deliveries as needed.

Job Description

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for assisting with the efficient and accurate operation of the parts warehouse. This role involves receiving, storing, and distributing parts to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders and maintain an organized warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receiving:
  • Inspect incoming parts for damage or defects.
  • Verify quantities and part numbers against purchase orders.
  • Accurately record and input received items into the inventory management system.
  • Operating forklifts
• Storing:
  • Organize and store parts in designated locations according to established procedures.
  • Label and tag parts appropriately for easy identification and retrieval.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
• Distributing:
  • Pick and pack parts for outgoing orders based on customer requirements.
  • Verify part numbers and quantities before shipping.
  • Prepare shipping documentation, including packing slips and shipping labels.
• Inventory Management:
  • Assist with periodic inventory counts and adjustments.
  • Help identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Equipment Maintenance:
  • Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
  • Perform basic maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Other Duties:
  • Complete other tasks as assigned, such as assisting with warehouse projects or cleaning duties.
  • Will complete local deliveries of parts as needed (driving company van)
