Job summary

Carolina International Trucks in Charleston, SC, is seeking a Parts Sales specialist to help customers find the right parts over the counter, in the shop, or by phone.

You will assist customers in selecting parts, quote prices, and provide a high level of service. The role involves stocking and pulling orders, and staying current on product updates to deliver excellent support.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• Experience in retail or automotive parts preferred.
• Strong customer service and sales skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provides price quotes and information by answering phone calls.

Summary

Sells parts to all customers, over the counter, through the shop or on the phone.

• Assists all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional and efficient manner.
• Informs customers of companion part requirements and specials and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
• Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
• Provides high level of service to internal and external customers.
• Pulls and fills orders from stock.
• Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary.
• Keeps front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered.
• Participates in all training programs that are made available.
• Keeps current on new products and product updates.

Education and/or Experience

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
