We are a plumbing & mechanical contractor working in San Francisco and we are looking for a warehouse clerk to help manage all of our material and equipment. The position will involve receiving material requests, pulling and ordering material, processing material received from suppliers and distributing material to other staff as they come to the shop to receive it.
We are a small crew, about a dozen in total. Your start time is between 6 and 7 AM and shift ends between 230 and 330 PM. You'll open the shop, see an in-rush of guys crew as you throw things at them and then it'll be quiet except for the deliveries that come. You'll update our systems with the material that's come and answer questions concerning odd parts laying around the shop. Occasionally you'll be required to drive a company pick-up truck to deliver a part as an emergency.
The position requires a person to be on their feet 70-80% of the time but is not typically very fast-paced. Knowledge of how to use Windows, a Chromebook, type, etc., is required and important. Boxes and equipment will weigh up to 80 lbs.
Compensation: $62,400-$72,800 depending on preexisting knowledge of plumbing materials.
Benefits: PTO, 401k, medical insurance.
Requirements: clean California driver's license, physical ability to perform the work outlined, sufficient computer literacy to update databases, send and receive emails, save digital files, etc.
