Job summary

Rush Enterprises Inc. is looking for a Warehouse Clerk to support operations by maintaining accurate inventory, handling records, and delivering excellent customer service. If you’re organized, motivated, and eager to grow, this role offers a solid path in a dynamic warehouse environment.

You will verify shipments, store stock promptly, label parts, and assist in dispatching drivers while upholding safety and quality standards across all daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds or more as needed.
• Three months of related experience or training, or equivalent education/experience.
• Valid driver’s license with insurability per company policy.
• Complete forklift training and certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify shipments by packing slip, enter data, and handle shortages or damage per procedures.
• Process and store incoming stock within 24 hours; ensure correct bin locations and proper barcoding.
• Assign locations, update the system, and label/organize parts accordingly.
• Check in/out inter-branch shipments, generate picking lists, stage parts for delivery.
• Pull customer orders and prepare for will call, shipment, or delivery.
• Maintain a clean, organized warehouse and follow safety policies.
• Manage will-call bins, keeping parts and paperwork organized.
• Process junk cores: tag, store, and return to vendors weekly.
• Dispatch drivers and provide accurate driving directions as needed.
• Process customer returns and ensure resale condition of parts.
• File freight claims for shortages or damaged parts within 24 hours.
• Serve as backup Parts Driver when needed.
• Handle vendor returns: pull, package, ship.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education diploma (GED).
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds or more as required by position
• Three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company’s insurance carrier.
• Must complete company-provided forklift training and obtain certification within 90 days. All forklift operators must be at least 18 years old, as required by law.
