Job summary

Peterman Brothers is seeking a Warehouse Clerk in Indiana to safely sort, document, and manage all merchandise entering or exiting the facility. The role includes receiving, inventory control, and accurate shipping labeling.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years warehouse experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of forklift or cherry picker helpful.
• Mon-Fri 11:00–19:30 with possible peak-season shifts.

Responsibilities

• Sort and document merchandise entering or leaving the warehouse.
• Collect merchandise from the warehouse and place it in the correct area.
• Receive and document items for delivery or return.
• Maintain inventory of all items moving in and out.
• Identify missing, damaged, or lost materials and notify supervisor.
• Ensure proper packing and labeling for shipping.
• Assist training of new hires and ensure correct destinations for shipments.

The Role

The Warehouse Clerk will safely sort, document, and manage all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse.

What You'll Do

• Collecting merchandise from the warehouse and placing it in the appropriate area
• Receiving and documenting merchandise for delivery or return.
• Keeping an inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse.
• Identifying any missing, lost, or damaged materials and immediately notify the lead or manager
• Ensuring that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled for shipping.
• Managing all merchandise with appropriate care.
• Assisting with training of newly employed workers.
• Ensure products are shipped to the right destination

What You'll Need

• Ability to work Mon-Fri from 11am-7:30pm (potential flex during peak season of 2pm-10:30pm).
• Positive work attitude
• Prior experience working in a warehouse / DC operation
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, or HVAC parts helpful
• Knowledge of operating a forklift
• Knowledge of operating a parts cherry picker
• Strong Attention to Detail
• Experience of 0 to 2 years in a similar role
• Ability to work on feet for 8 hours and carry loads up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work independently and safely at heights of up to 20 feet
• High school diploma or a GED
