Job summary

Americold is seeking a Warehouse Custodian (Finance) to keep offices, break rooms, bathrooms, docks, and grounds clean and orderly in Compton, CA. Under general supervision, you will ensure sanitation of work areas and support safe warehouse operations.

You will perform heavy cleaning tasks, routine maintenance, and report repair needs. The role requires following safety procedures, OSHA standards, and maintaining a tidy work environment with reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or at least one year related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass and removing rubbish.
• Perform routine maintenance activities and cleaning grounds, notifying management of need for repairs.
• Ensure pest control systems are operating effectively and report any problems to supervisor.
• Remove ice and snow from pedestrian walkways and parking lots as seasonally required.
• Keep company grounds free of litter and debris.
• Work safely; report hazards to shift supervisor and comply with OSHA standards.
• Follow attendance policy and show up on time for assigned shift.
• May be required to wash and/or sweep insides of trailers and/or railcars.
• Perform other duties as assigned, may be required to perform duties outside of normal responsibilities.
