What you’ll be doing:
As a warehouse associate, you may work in one of the following six areas:
- Warehouse Bulk/Material Handling Equipment Operator: Operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to pick and move product up to 100 lbs while adhering to safety procedures. Not all work will be completed on material handling equipment.
- Warehouse Porter: Responsible for general cleaning and basic maintenance duties inside and outside the facility, operating material handling equipment as needed.
- Warehouse Replenishment: Operating material handling equipment to pick and move product within the warehouse.
- Warehouse Receiving/Putaway/Returns: Confirm accuracy of product, address discrepancies, unload trucks, palletize, and operate material handling equipment.
- Warehouse Returns: Moving product within the warehouse, matching items to packing slips, tagging, and operating equipment.
- Shipping: Organizing, stacking, shrink-wrapping customer orders, and loading trucks manually.
Please note, as an SC2 associate, you may be moved into any of these roles or SC1 roles as needed.
You will be essential to the success of Staples Supply Chain and must ensure safe work practices, embracing our safety culture.
What you bring to the table:
- Ability to be Material Handling Equipment Operator certified and operate equipment safely.
- Willingness to keep work area clean.

- Ability to quickly adopt safety procedures and ensure safe practices.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations.
What’s needed - Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum three months of related warehouse experience or equivalent training, education, and experience.
- Ability to pass a drug screen legally permissible.
- Basic English skills (verbal and written).
- If hired full-time, ability to work additional hours/overtime as needed.
- Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull 70-100 pounds by hand.
- Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
- Prior experience operating warehouse equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, cherry pickers is helpful.
