Base pay range

$18.00/hr - $18.00/hr

Planet Aid is a nonprofit organization that collects and recycles used textiles to protect the environment and support sustainable development in impoverished communities around the world. We are seeking a Hybrid Warehouse/Driver, reporting to the Operations Manager.

The Warehouse/Driver position involves assisting with transportation of donated materials, loading/unloading from trucks, and warehouse processing. Responsibilities include accurate packaging, bailing, and storage of donated clothing, as well as forklift operation, recycling, and general cleaning. The primary focus is warehouse work, with driving as needed.

Pay rate: $18.50/hr, weekly.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, start time 4PM.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Shuttle trucks between the yard and warehouse.
• Unload trucks and sort items into appropriate carts.
• Weigh loads and organize carts.
• Assist with inventory management.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform related job functions as needed.

Requirements

Education and Experience

• High School Degree and 2 years of driving small commercial trucks, or equivalent experience.

Language Skills

• Ability to read maps and use GPS.
• Accurate paperwork completion.
• Effective communication skills.
• Basic English proficiency.

Other Skills and Abilities

• Pass pre-employment screening, background check, DOT physical.
• Good driving record.
• Adhere to safety procedures.
• Flexibility for overtime and weekends.
• Safe driving skills, capable of operating large trucks.
• Work in various traffic and weather conditions.
• Follow directions with a positive attitude.

Physical Demands

Regular talking, walking, driving, standing, lifting/moving up to 50 lbs, pushing up to 300 lbs, with vision requirements.

Work Environment

Exposure to moving parts, humid conditions, fumes, outdoor weather.
