Job summary

The Bay Family of Companies in Wisconsin is seeking a Warehouse Associate/Delivery Van Driver to deliver insulation products to job sites on a pre-determined schedule and interact professionally with customers. The role may also assist in the warehouse with production and moving materials.

Responsibilities include loading and unloading, conducting pre-trip inspections, maintaining DOT logs, handling paperwork, verifying counts for inventory accuracy, and supporting plant operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic math and measurement skills required.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to lift materials up to 50 lbs and climb in/out of vehicles.
• Experience operating a forklift is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products within a pre-determined driving schedule to job sites.
• Load and unload trucks and move materials as needed.
• Maintain truck and equipment in good condition; perform pre-trip inspections.
• Complete daily DOT logs and related paperwork.
• Obtain customer signatures and COD payments when applicable.
• Verify counts on delivery to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Escalate issues to Plant Manager as needed and assist in plant production when required.

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Associate/Delivery Van Driver is responsible for the delivery of insulation products to job sites based on a provided schedule. This will include ensuring on-time delivery and professional interaction with customers at delivery sites. Assisting in the warehouse with production and moving materials and products may also be required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Delivers products within a pre-determined driving schedule at the appropriate job site
• Loads and unloads trucks of products and materials
• Ensures truck maintenance standards are met
• Performs daily pre-trip inspections, including completing pre-inspection forms and conducts minor maintenance as needed
• Reports any mechanical or maintenance related issues to the Plant Manager immediately
• Completes daily DOT logs in compliance with DOT regulations
• Processes paperwork such as tickets and bills of lading
• Ensures the customer’s signature on the receipt of material, and collects on COD charges when specified
• Verifies material counts are correct upon delivery to maintain inventory accuracy
• Escalates any issues to the Plant Manager immediately that were discovered at the job site during delivery
• Assists with production in plant when needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager

Requirements

Education, Experience and Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
• One year of experience in a production or warehouse environment, preferred
• Must have and be able to maintain a driving record that meets the company’s insurance requirements, required
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DOT medical card, required
• A minimum of 6 months experience operating a forklift, a plus
