Job summary

The Bay Family of Companies is seeking a Warehouse Associate/Delivery Van Driver in Wisconsin. The role delivers insulation products to job sites on a schedule, ensures on-time delivery and professional customer interaction, and may assist in the warehouse with production and moving materials.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, performing pre-trip inspections, DOT logs, paperwork, inventory checks, and aiding plant production as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience in a production or warehouse environment preferred.
• Must maintain driving record meeting insurance requirements.
• Must obtain and maintain DOT medical card.
• Minimum 6 months forklift experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Delivers products within a pre-determined driving schedule at the appropriate job site.
• Loads and unloads trucks of products and materials.
• Ensures truck maintenance standards are met.
• Performs daily pre-trip inspections and minor maintenance as needed.
• Reports mechanical or maintenance issues to the Plant Manager immediately.
• Completes daily DOT logs in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Processes tickets and bills of lading.
• Verifies material counts at delivery to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Escalates issues to the Plant Manager if discovered at the job site.
• Assists with production in the plant when needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Associate/Delivery Van Driver is responsible for the delivery of insulation products to job sites based on a provided schedule. This will include ensuring on-time delivery and professional interaction with customers at delivery sites. Assisting in the warehouse with production and moving materials and products may also be required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Delivers products within a pre-determined driving schedule at the appropriate job site
• Loads and unloads trucks of products and materials
• Ensures truck maintenance standards are met
• Performs daily pre-trip inspections, including completing pre-inspection forms and conducts minor maintenance as needed
• Reports any mechanical or maintenance related issues to the Plant Manager immediately
• Completes daily DOT logs in compliance with DOT regulations
• Processes paperwork such as tickets and bills of lading
• Ensures the customer’s signature on the receipt of material, and collects on COD charges when specified
• Verifies material counts are correct upon delivery to maintain inventory accuracy
• Escalates any issues to the Plant Manager immediately that were discovered at the job site during delivery
• Assists with production in plant when needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager

Requirements

Education, Experience and Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
• One year of experience in a production or warehouse environment, preferred
• Must have and be able to maintain a driving record that meets the company’s insurance requirements, required
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DOT medical card, required
• A minimum of 6 months experience operating a forklift, a plus
