United Electric Supply is seeking a Warehouse/Backup Box Truck Driver in Langhorne, PA. This full-time, evening shift role supports receiving, picking, packing, wire cutting, and cycle counting to meet customer demand while maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities include RF-based picking, packing, stock management, loading/unloading, and basic truck maintenance. CDL not required and a strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work Monday to Friday from 6:00pm - 2:30am.
• Minimum High School Diploma.
• Minimum 1 - 2 years of Box-Truck driving experience (CDL is not required).

Responsabilités

• Utilize RF guns for picking and packing and stock shelves.
• Receive materials and compare packing slips to what is received; report defects.
• Stock shelves and ensure materials are in designated areas.
• Pack and ship materials in designated cartons per orders.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
• Assist customers with pipe purchases.
• Cut wire to meet customer specs for orders.
• Check email and trackers daily for time-sensitive information.
• Post purchase orders via RF and related data in the system.
• Communicate with sales when material is unavailable.
• Backup internal loop drivers when needed.
• Record mileage and expenses; document trip inspections.
• Load and verify trucks for deliveries; ensure material correctness.
• Provide basic maintenance to trucks and report malfunctions.
• Complete accident/Incident reports for safety/health incidents.

Position Summary

As a key member of our Warehouse team, the Backup Loop Driver plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and organized operation. This position supports core warehouse functions, including receiving, picking, packing, wire cutting, and cycle counting, while ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety standards. This role also involves learning effective material handling techniques to meet customer demands and ensure smooth operational flow.

Position Responsibilities

• Utilize RF guns for picking and packing as well as stock shelves and pull material to fill current orders, back-orders, will calls, and inter-branch transfers, ensuring correct quantity and customer specifications.
• Receives incoming materials, checking packing slips against actual merchandise received. Inspects materials for obvious defects, solving related problems and notifies supervisor as necessary.
• Stock shelves and ensuring materials are in their designated area.
• Packs and ships materials in designated cartons per customer order and department procedures.
• Assists with loading and unloading trucks.
• Assists customers with pipe purchases.
• Cuts wire for counter, will call, and other specific sales orders to meet the customers specifications.
• Check email and trackers daily for time sensitive company information.
• Posts purchase orders via RF and other related data into the computer system.
• Communicate with the sales department when material ordered is not available.
• Backs up internal loop drivers, filling in when needed.
  • Records mileage, expenses encountered, and documents pre and post trip inspections on vehicle.
  • Load and verifies trucks for deliveries, ensuring the material is correct.
  • Provides basic maintenance to the truck. Reports any malfunctions.
• Complete an accident/Incident report for any safety and/or health infractions that occur or witnessed.
• Works closely with all internal departments to help us achieve our mission, "To deliver exceptional service to our customers while maintaining the highest standards for courtesy, knowledge and ethics."
• Performs other duties as obvious or assigned.

This is a safety sensitive position:

• May be required to operate powered industrial trucks.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. several times a day, bend, twist, and climb.
• Must wear approved PPE and company logo shirts while on the clock.
• Adhere to all United Electric health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Act in a safe and positive manner always, ensure that those around you do not put themselves or others at risk. Your personal safety is your responsibility.
• Complete an accident/Incident report for any safety and/or health infractions that occur or witnessed.
