United Electric Supply Co. Inc. is seeking a Warehouse/Backup Box Truck Driver in Langhorne, PA, to support warehouse operations and occasional internal deliveries.

The role requires safe driving practices, handling materials, and assisting with loading, packing, and cycle counting. Candidates should have a minimum 1–2 years of box-truck driving experience (CDL not required) and be able to work 6:00pm–2:30am, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work Monday to Friday from 6:00pm – 2:30am.
• Minimum High School Diploma.
• Minimum 1 - 2 years of Box-Truck driving experience (CDL is not required).

Responsibilities

• Utilize RF guns for picking and packing and stock shelves; fill current orders and inter-branch transfers with correct quantity and specifications.
• Receive incoming materials, check packing slips, inspect for defects and notify supervisor when needed.
• Load and unload trucks; assist customers with pipe purchases and wire cuts to meet specifications.
• Post purchase orders and communicate material availability with sales; back up internal loop drivers as needed.
• Record mileage and inspections; ensure trucks are loaded correctly and maintained; complete incident reports when needed.

Position Summary

As a key member of our Warehouse team, the Backup Loop Driver plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and organized operation. This position supports core warehouse functions, including receiving, picking, packing, wire cutting, and cycle counting, while ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety standards. This role also involves learning effective material handling techniques to meet customer demands and ensure smooth operational flow.

In addition to warehouse responsibilities, the Backup Loop Driver steps in as needed to assist with our internal deliveries, ensuring the timely and professional transport of materials to United Electric locations and customers. Exceptional customer service, safe driving practices, and professionalism are critical to upholding our company's reputation and delivering on our value proposition. The current overnight route begins at our Langhorne warehouse at 6:00 p.m. and delivers to our New Castle, DE branch before returning to the Langhorne, PA warehouse.

Position Responsibilities

• Utilize RF guns for picking and packing as well as stock shelves and pull material to fill current orders, back-orders, will calls, and inter-branch transfers, ensuring correct quantity and customer specifications.
• Receives incoming materials, checking packing slips against actual merchandise received. Inspects materials for obvious defects, solving related problems and notifies supervisor as necessary.
• Stock shelves and ensuring materials are in their designated area.
• Packs and ships materials in designated cartons per customer order and department procedures.
• Assists with loading and unloading trucks.
• Assists customers with pipe purchases.
• Cuts wire for counter, will call, and other specific sales orders to meet the customers specifications.
• Check email and trackers daily for time sensitive company information.
• Posts purchase orders via RF and other related data into the computer system.
• Communicate with the sales department when material ordered is not available.
• Backs up internal loop drivers, filling in when needed.
  • Records mileage, expenses encountered, and documents pre and post trip inspections on vehicle.
  • Load and verifies trucks for deliveries, ensuring the material is correct.
  • Provides basic maintenance to the truck. Reports any malfunctions.
• Complete an accident/Incident report for any safety and/or health infractions that occur or witnessed.
• Works closely with all internal departments to help us achieve our mission, “To deliver exceptional service to our customers while maintaining the highest standards for courtesy, knowledge and ethics.”
• Performs other duties as obvious or assigned.

This is a safety sensitive position:

• May be required to operate powered industrial trucks.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. several times a day, bend, twist, and climb.
• Must wear approved PPE and company logo shirts while on the clock.
