Job summary

Pepsi Bottling Ventures is seeking a Warehouse Automation Operator in Garner, IA to monitor and operate our automated material handling systems. You will interface with conveyor and palletizing equipment, troubleshoot faults, and help maintain safe, efficient warehouse operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, forklift certification, and experience with automation or warehouse machinery. You will work hands-on, record logs, and coordinate with team members to keep our systems

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to pass fork lift skills assessment and safely operate PBV Material Handling equipment.
• Six (6) months of sit down fork lift operation experience preferred.
• One year of automation/production machine operation outside PBV warehouse automation or minimum of three months proven in-house operation (not including training).
• Computer/human machine interface skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Physical stamina.
• Manual dexterity.
• Math, reading and writing skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Job Description PURPOSE OF THE JOB Control, interface and manage Warehouse Automation Systems, keeping the overall system at peak operational levels. To support continuous material movement through PBV’s automated warehouse systems to support both internal and external customers.

Mental Functions This job is both repetitive and variable depending on the needs of the business. Physical Functions Constantly (67% -100%) required to bend and reach. Occasionally (0%-33%) required to walk, stand, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs.

EQUIPMENT USED

Single and double fork lifts. Automation systems (to include, but not limited to the following): case conveyor, pallet conveyor, palletizers, stretch wrappers, computers, and human machine interfaces.
