Job Summary

Receives, stores, and distributes materials, tools, equipment, and products.

Responsibilities

1. Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
2. Convey materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
3. Place materials/goods on racks, shelves, bins, or in refrigerated rooms according to predetermined sequences.
4. Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or stock items, and distribute to production workers or assembly lines.
5. Assemble customer orders from stock and prepare for shipping or packing.
6. Mark materials with identifying information.
7. Open bales, crates, and containers.
8. Record amounts of materials received or distributed.
9. Weigh or count items for distribution to ensure standards are met.
10. Arrange stock parts for assembly by other workers.
11. Use computer systems to enter records.
12. Compile worksheets or tickets based on customer specifications.
13. Drive vehicles to transport or pick up items.
14. Complete requisition forms to order supplies.
15. Prepare parcels for mailing.
16. Maintain inventory records.
17. Perform other related duties as assigned.
18. Follow safety standards including HACCP, proper handling, and personal safety protocols.
