Job summary

Valdese Weavers LLC in Valdese, NC is seeking a materials staging/picking role in a busy textile mill. You will move materials from manufacturing to warehouse and prepare yarn for shipment, operating RF scanners and PIT equipment.

The position requires good communication, basic reading, writing, and math skills, and reliability. A 3rd shift is available with a $1.00 per hour shift premium, plus an attendance bonus for two weeks with no time off.

• Scan and adjust box or bin rows, and combine yarns to create bins.
• Open share file, pull yarn required for main, locate in bins.
• Load yarn onto the truck.

• Pull yarn for outside processed yarns.
• Maintain personal attendance practices to meet established company goals.
• Maintain personal work habits, which meet the demands of the job.
• Work scheduled overtime.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Valdese Weavers is a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) company and has been in business for over 100 years. As one of the largest woven textile mills in the world, Valdese Weavers designs and manufactures residential and contract-grade fabrics for furniture manufacturers, fabric distributors, and large retailers.

2nd and 3rd shift do receive a shift premium of $1.00. We offer a $50 attendance bonus for every two weeks in which you miss no time, not including our shutdown periods. This bonus would provide an extra $0.62 to your hourly rate.

Job Summary

Stage materials from manufacturing operations to warehouse. Stage materials from warehouse to be shipped. Pull yarn as needed from the main plant list. Place incoming yarn into the appropriate location. Hearing protection is required in high noise areas, safety belt/harness required when using P.I.T. equipment.
