Job summary

SeAH Steel USA in Houston is seeking a Warehouse Attendant to maintain the warehouse and manage spare parts inventory under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor.

Responsibilities include inventory records, data entry in EPICOR CMMS, cycle counts, receiving and loading outbound shipments, and forklift operation with strict adherence to HSE rules; flexibility for overtime is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred but not required.
• Excellent reading, writing and computer skills.
• Ability to organize vast amounts of data and multi‑task several priorities with excellent time management.
• Attention to detail and discretion with confidential information.
• Flexible schedule may require overtime.
• Understand and follow all plant safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain records of inventory.
• Maintain current knowledge and categorization of spare part inventory.
• Assist in developing departmental procedures as directed by Warehouse Supervisor and SR. Storeroom Coordinator.
• Collaborate with purchasing during the receiving process verification.
• Enter accurate data and enhancements to the inventory structure within EPICOR CMMS.
• Receive and load outbound shipments.
• Perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• File and maintain warehouse documents and records.
• Operate forklift safely following all safety regulations (HSE).
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Purpose

The Warehouse attendant under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor shall be an integral component of SeAH Steel USA that shall focus on maintaining the warehouse and keeping the parts inventory.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain records of inventory.
• Maintain current product knowledge and categorization of spare part inventory.
• Assist in development of departmental procedures as directed by Warehouse Supervisor and SR. Storeroom Coordinator.
• Collaborate with purchasing department with receiving process verification.
• Enter accurate, consistent data as well as enhancements to the inventory structure within the CMMS (EPICOR).
• Receive and load outbound shipments.
• Perform cycle counts to make sure the inventory is accurate.
• File and maintain warehouse documents and records.
• Always operate the forklift following all the safety regulations established by HSE department.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Competencies

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Working conditions are split between a professional office environment and a normal manufacturing environment.
• Work involves delegated and operation detail.
• Substantial movements (motion) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers in a repetitive manner.
• Standing for long periods of time, squatting, twisting, bending, and lifting between 10-50 lbs..
• Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers, and perceives attributes of objects and materials.
• The ability to work in loud, hot environments/extreme weather while wearing required PPE.
• Ability to see 20-20 when corrected.
• Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
