Job description

Position Summary:

The Warehouse Associate II is responsible for working closely with the Fulfillment Center Supervisor(s) to ensure all inbound and outbound documentation and standards are met. This includes picking and loading products for outgoing delivery, selecting products from the warehouse, loading and securing goods on pallets, and moving inventory to designated loading areas. The role also supports receiving efforts as needed and must comply with all safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Success in this role requires the ability to follow instructions and operate a forklift or other material handling equipment.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Work with supervisors and management to meet goals and deadlines.
  • Process dock flow, including shipments, returns, and stocking.
  • Record received or distributed materials and enter data into the Oracle system.
  • Review pallets, load trailers, and move material from receiving to trailers.
  • Compile worksheets or tickets based on customer specifications.
  • Perform cycle counts and verify inventory data.
  • Receive inventory, process information, and return merchandise to stock or plant.
  • Transact material movements in the ERP system.
  • Load and unload vehicles, perform trailer inspections.
  • Read customer delivery orders and gather/distribute items accordingly.
  • Drive forklifts (reach truck, order picker, turret truck, sit-down) for picking, packing, and transporting items.
  • Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins by predetermined criteria.
  • Use computer/RF scanner to record data.
  • Mark materials with identifying information.
  • Stage materials in designated areas per pick order tickets.
  • Handle shipping documentation and reconcile carrier discrepancies as needed.
  • Create carrier call logs and arrange pickups.
  • Manage purchase orders and file incoming trailer reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education / Experience / Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Preferred one year of forklift driving experience.
  • Preferred two years of experience in a production or warehouse environment.
  • Certified forklift driver (stand-up/sit-down) or willingness to learn.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak English.
  • Experience with import/export, distribution, and logistics is a plus.
  • Strong MS Office and computer skills; experience with Oracle or other MRP systems.
  • Experience in receiving and verification of raw materials is a plus.
  • Attention to detail, basic math skills, and good organization.
  • Visual quality inspection skills.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to work at heights of 25 feet or more while secured by a harness.

Language: English required; Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

This role is primarily in a warehouse environment, mostly indoors but may require outdoor access. It involves operating forklifts such as reach trucks, order pickers, and turret trucks. The position requires working at heights of 25 feet or more while secured by a harness. The physical demands include walking, standing, bending, twisting, seeing, hearing, talking, using fingers and hands to handle controls or products, reaching, and carrying. Frequently lifting/moving up to 35 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs. is required. The warehouse may be hot in summer and cooler in winter, and handling different temperatures is expected.
