Job summary

Ferguson is seeking a Warehouse Pipe Yard Associate at our Waterworks location in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves working in a warehouse and outside in the pipe yard, with outdoor work year-round in all weather conditions.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with some overtime. Pay range shown is hourly; includes safety gear and PPE requirements, and full benefits. Pre-employment drug and background screening are required.

Qualifications

• Comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• General computer skills for basic data entry.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts to pull and prepare outbound orders.
• Build, wrap, and transport pallets and large piping.
• Work outdoors year-round in a pipeyard, in all weather conditions.
• Receive, verify, stage and stock incoming material.
• Receive and store inventory accurately and timely.
• Follow safety regulations and PPE use, including harness requirements.

Ferguson is seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Warehouse Pipe Yard Associate at our Waterworks location in Indianapolis, IN. This role will involve working in a warehouse as well as outside in the pipe yard. Most of the product you will be working with is outside and requires working outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions and temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate both a stand-up forklift (order selector/cherry picker) and sit-down forklift to pull and prepare outbound customer orders.
• Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and large piping
• Work outdoors year-round in a pipeyard, performing duties in all weather conditions.
• Accurately and timely receive, verify, stage and stock all incoming material.
• Effectively receive and store inventory.
• Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs.

Qualifications

• A background in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory is preferred.
• Comfortable in a fast paced, changing environment.
• General computer skills for basic data entry.
• Forklift Operator experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to carry objects that are up to 50 lbs. by hand and 50 lbs. or more using equipment.

Pay Range:

$17.41 - $26.11

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
