Ferguson Enterprises, Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Pipe Yard Associate for our Waterworks location in Bakersfield, CA.

The role involves outdoor work in a pipe yard, operating forklifts to pull and prep outbound orders, and handling pallets and large piping in all weather conditions. Responsibilities include receiving and stocking inventory, staying compliant with safety rules and PPE, and possibly performing driver duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience is strongly preferred.
• Background in warehouse operations including shipping, receiving and inventory.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs by hand and heavier with equipment.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid state-issued license.
• Pre-employment drug and background screening required.

Responsibilities

• Operate stand-up forklift and sit-down forklift to pull and prepare outbound orders.
• Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and large piping.
• Work outdoors year-round in a pipeyard and in all weather conditions.
• Receive, verify, stage and stock all incoming material.
• Adhere to safety regulations including use of PPE (safety harness up to 400 lbs).
• May perform driver duties when needed.

Ferguson is seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Warehouse Pipe Yard Associate at our Waterworks location in Bakersfield, CA. This role will involve working in a warehouse as well as outside in the pipe yard. Most of the product you will be working with is outside and requires working outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions and temperatures.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and some overtime as needed

Responsibilities

• Safely operate both a stand‑up forklift (order selector/cherry picker) and sit‑down forklift to pull and prepare outbound customer orders.
• Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and large piping.
• Work outdoors year-round in a pipeyard, performing duties in all weather conditions.
• Accurately and timely receive, verify, stage and stock all incoming material.
• Effectively receive and store inventory.
• Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs.
• May be responsible for providing driver duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• A background in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory, is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Comfortable in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
• General computer skills for basic data entry.
• Forklift Operator experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to carry objects that are over 50 lbs. by hand and 50 lbs. or more using equipment.
• A valid state‑issued license is required *Pre‑employment drug and background screening required*.

Pay, Benefits & Diversity

• Pay Range:
• $19.15 - $28.72
• Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
• This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
• Ferguson complies with all wage regulations.
