Job summary

Ferguson is seeking a Warehouse Pipe Yard Associate at our Waterworks location in Amarillo, TX. This role involves working in a warehouse as well as outdoors in the pipe yard, with most work outside and exposure to all weather conditions.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM with occasional overtime. You will operate forklifts, handle pallets, receive and stock materials, and comply with safety rules including PPE and a 400 lb harness.

Qualifications

• Background in warehouse operations (shipping, receiving, inventory) preferred.
• Must be 21 years old.
• Valid state-issued license required.
• Must have or obtain a valid DOT medical card.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• General computer skills for basic data entry.
• Forklift operator experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to carry objects up to 50 lbs by hand and 50 lbs+ using equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate stand-up forklift and sit-down forklift to pull and prepare outbound orders.
• Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and large piping.
• Work outdoors year-round in a pipeyard, in all weather conditions.
• Receive, verify, stage and stock all incoming material.
• Receive and store inventory.
• Follow safety regulations, including PPE, with a 400 lb harness.
• May provide back-up driver duties.

Ferguson is seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Warehouse Pipe Yard Associate at our Waterworks location in Amarillo, TX. This role will involve working in a warehouse as well as outside in the pipe yard. Most of the product you will be working with is outside and requires working outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions and temperatures.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM and some overtime as needed

Responsibilities

• Safely operate both a stand-up forklift (order selector/cherry picker) and sit-down forklift to pull and prepare outbound customer orders.
• Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and large piping
• Work outdoors year-round in a pipeyard, performing duties in all weather conditions.
• Accurately and timely receive, verify, stage and stock all incoming material.
• Effectively receive and store inventory.
• Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs.
• May be responsible for providing back-up driver duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• A background in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory is preferred.
• Must be 21 years old
• A valid state-issued license is required
• Must currently have, acquire and/or mantain a valid DOT Medical card in order to meet driver requirements
• Comfortable in a fast paced, changing environment.
• General computer skills for basic data entry.
• Forklift Operator experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to carry objects that are up to 50 lbs. by hand and 50 lbs. or more using equipment.

Pay Range

$17.41 - $26.11

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
