Warehouse Associate W2

Location: Hanover Park, Illinois

Shift: 9 am - 5:30 pm

Salary: $17 an hour

About the role

Warehouse Associate is responsible for carrying out the logistics of receiving, processing, storing and sending inventory according to purchase orders and shipping schedules. Teammates will follow all Insight policies and procedures. Each person is accountable for meeting or exceeding individual and / or departmental metrics.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and documenting product into SAP
• Finding locations of product using SAP or client asset management system. Prepares withholding tax reconciliation and proactively address issues or discrepancies.
• Verify quantity and the correct products
• Work with lab team to pack product and post goods receipts on finished product.

What we’re looking for

• High School Education or equivalent with at least 6 months of warehouse experience
• Must have knowledge of shipping, warehouse and safety procedures and some computer experience
• Must have the ability to multitask with strong organization and time management skills
• Must be able to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints within a timely fashion

Physical Demands

• Stand, sit, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, telephone, keyboard; reach, stoop and kneel to handle material handling equipment
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision due to computer work
• Light to moderate lifting required - able to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently
• Regular, predictable attendance required; including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate
• Must be able to operate a pallet jack and shrink-wrapping equipment

Work Environment

• Moderate noise (conveyor system, etc.)
• Safety around moving equipment such as forklifts, moving conveyors etc.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Work in changing climate environments, i.e., cold during winter months and heat during summer months
