Job summary

Veolia, now integrating Clean Earth, is seeking an Environmental Technician to consolidate, treat, store, package, transport and dispose of hazardous waste in compliance with applicable laws and company policies. You will maintain detailed records and support safe, environmentally responsible operations.

This on-site role in Kentucky offers a starting pay of $19 per hour, comprehensive benefits, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and a path to growth within a leading environmental services

Qualifications

  • Able to lift and carry 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Able to stand and walk on uneven surfaces for extended periods.
  • Must read labels and documentation with depth perception to operate forklifts.
  • Must hear vehicle warning chimes and alarms.
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather and indoors in non-climate-controlled areas.
  • Willing to wear PPE including safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator.

Responsibilities

  • Segregate and package material for transport.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory and storage of hazardous materials.
  • Operate trucks and other mobile equipment to move containers to and from storage and treatment areas and to load/unload trailers.
  • Complete required documentation accurately, timely and legibly in accordance with applicable regulations and customer policies, practices and procedures.
  • Perform other reasonable related tasks as assigned by management.

Salary for the position is $19/hr.

The Environmental Technician consolidates, treats, stores, packs, transports and/or disposes of hazardous waste in accordance with environmentally responsible and compliant practices, policies and procedures. Maintain detailed and accurate records.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required
  • Ability to stand and walk over uneven surfaces for extended periods
  • Visual acuity to read labels and documentation; depth perception to safely drive forklifts
  • Ability to hear vehicle warning chimes and alarms
  • Ability to work outdoors in all climate conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled conditions
  • Willingness and ability to wear company-issued personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator
