Job description

The Carpet Guys, LLC is a family-owned, rapidly-growing, local flooring company with a strong foothold in the metropolitan Detroit area. We have an immediate opening for a long-term, Full-time EXPERIENCED RELIABLE Warehouse Worker at our corporate warehouse in Troy, Michigan.

This position may include afternoon and weekend hours.

Responsibilities and Requirements

1. Dependable individuals who can perform well in a fast-paced environment.
2. Flexibility in scheduling (warehouse is staffed from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.). Availability to work anytime within that period, including Saturdays and Sundays.
3. Display a customer service/problem-solving mentality.
4. Meet the following requirements at the time of application:
   • Be at least 18 years of age.
   • Possess a valid driver’s license. All candidates must be legally eligible to drive. A chauffeur’s license with D.o.T. endorsement is required for deliveries; assistance will be provided to qualified candidates.
   • Have reliable transportation to and from work.
   • Willing to drive and deliver materials to customers’ homes as needed.
   • Pass a background check and a monitored pre-employment drug screen.
   • Have the physical strength to repetitively lift fifty (50) pounds and move items of various weights and sizes; ability to operate heavy equipment with proper training.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous warehousing/inventory experience.
• Hi-Lo experience/certification.
• Delivery experience.

This is an entry-level position; starting wage is $15.00-$17.00/hour with the possibility of overtime. Benefits are available after 90 days, including health, dental, optical, and life insurance.

We offer on-the-job training specific to the flooring industry to the right candidate(s).
