Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. is seeking a Stock Handler in Atlanta, GA to support our Customer Fulfillment Center with hands-on material movement and processing. You will move materials, verify quantities, and ensure proper storage in bins and racks.

Responsibilities include operating powered equipment, staging products for put-away, and maintaining safety and quality standards while supporting cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills are required for order processing and inventory checks.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Willingness to work overtime to meet customer needs.
• Internal certification to operate powered equipment within required timeframes.
• Internal certification to pick DOT-regulated items if required.
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 75 pounds and climbing as needed.

• Put away product to bins and racks, including DOT items.
• Verify products by item numbers, descriptions, and quantity; inspect for damage.
• Scan labels into the warehouse system.

• Operate basic and some advanced powered equipment (electric pallet jack, forklift, turret truck).
• Train cross-functionally in other departments as needed.
• Follow safety guidelines and meet productivity and quality targets.

Stock Handler

MSC is growing and going strong. We seek a team player who thrives in a fast-moving environment to perform various manual and mechanical duties to move a variety of raw materials throughout our Customer Fulfillment Center.

How You'll Contribute

You will have a hands-on role in our warehouse to ensure delivery of our vast product line to our valued customers.

• Load, unload, and move product by hand, by skid, or by cart.
• Put away all required product, including DOT items, to bins and racks.
• Verify products using item numbers, descriptions and quantity, and inspect boxes and product for damage or improper packaging.
• Scans labels into warehouse computer system.
• Stage product for put-away bins, overstock or racks.
• Consolidate racks, and move and stage totes/skids for re-use.
• Operate basic (i.e., electric pallet jack, forklift) and advanced (i.e., turret truck, order picker) powered equipment.
• Train cross-functionally in other departments and functions to support business requirements.
• Follow safety guidelines at all times, meet specified productivity and quality expectations, and participate in Work Clean program.

What It Takes

• Basic computer skills
• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Willingness to work overtime to meet customer's needs
• Internal certification to drive powered equipment within specified time requirements
• Internal certification to pick DOT-regulated items, if required

Compensation starting at $20.00/hr depending on candidate location and experience.

The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
