Job summary

Farmers Home Furniture is seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate in the Distribution Department to handle daily shipping and receiving activities. You will load/unload trucks and trailers, tag and sort merchandise, and ensure orders are accurate and defect-free.

You will operate light and heavy equipment, perform cycle counts, and maintain a safe, organized work area while upholding our standards. Six-month distribution experience and a HS diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months experience in a distribution or warehouse environment.
• Any combination of training, experience and education meeting the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Loads/unloads trucks to distribute merchandise in the warehouse.
• Loads/unloads merchandise to/from trailers and moves to shipping/receiving areas.
• Ensures orders for shipping are accurate and checks for defects.
• Matches SKUs to loads to verify quantity and type of merchandise.
• Operates forklift and other equipment to complete duties.
• Performs cycle count inventory.
• Maintains a safe, orderly work area and performs light maintenance.
