Job description

This job description covers skills and responsibilities for the Warehouse Associate. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for handling the daily responsibilities of issuing and receiving materials and chemicals to the manufacturing areas and operating the company panel truck.

Responsibilities include:

1. Performing receiving functions, inspecting materials to specifications, and verifying delivery of raw materials and internal WIP materials from affiliates.
2. Verifying packing slips, matching received products and lot numbers, and checking product descriptions.
3. Stamping Certificates of Analysis (COA) for acceptable materials and escalating discrepancies for resolution.
4. Staging accepted materials appropriately and managing inventory levels with the buyer and internal suppliers.
5. Issuing materials to manufacturing, packing, and shipping departments, including chemicals.
6. Operating the scrap grinder and company panel truck, including maintenance and refueling.
7. Performing cycle counts, unloading deliveries, and contacting owners for instructions.
8. Maintaining MRO items and ensuring compliance with FDA, GMP, ISO, and other regulatory standards.
9. Engaging in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Ability to operate electric walker/overhead pallet truck, mechanical stretch wrapper, scrap grinder, and drive truck.
• Strong communication, reading, math, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and ERP software.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Valid CT driver's license.

Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, walking, crouching, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs., and pushing up to 150 lbs. Ongoing activity includes interaction with associates, operating forklifts, and handling hazardous chemicals.

This position is active and requires flexibility to work overtime and in various weather conditions.
