Job summary

Core-Mark, located at 2085 E. Michigan Ave, Ypsilanti, MI, is seeking staff for inventory and warehouse operations. The role includes maintaining inventory accuracy, handling salvage stock, and verifying deliveries and returns. Monday–Friday, with a 5pm start, and pay at $17.00 per hour.

Walk-ins are welcome and interviews may occur the same day. This position emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and following procedures to support our distribution services for convenience retailers in North America.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years warehousing/inventory experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an accurate physical inventory count and records.
• Handle salvage product and check for outdated stock.
• Check in Delivery Drivers and inspect returned trailers.
• Verify returned goods and determine disposition.
• Re-enter goods into inventory and assist with daily documentation.

Position Details:

• Location: 2085 E. Michigan Ave. Ypsilanti, MI 48198
• Shift: Monday - Friday, start time at 5pm until finished
• Pay: $17.00 an hour

Position Summary:

Under direct supervision, compiles and maintains records of quantity, type, and value of material, property, equipment, merchandise, or supplies. Counts material, property, equipment, merchandise, or supplies and posts totals to inventory / property records. Verifies record computations against physical count of inventory and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Position Responsibilities:

• Maintain an accurate physical inventory count and records.
• Handle salvage product.
• Check for outdated product.
• Checks in Delivery Drivers
• Inspects all returning trailers
• Verifies returned goods and damaged product
• Makes decisions about the disposition of returned goods
• Re-enters goods into inventory
• Checks Delivery Driver route tickets, customer orders and prepare for operations.
• Maintains accurate records of returns
• Files invoices and other documents on a daily basis
• Receives Delivery Drivers' receipts of the day's customer deliveries
• Receives appointments as needed
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
• 6-12 months warehousing, inventory, accounting admin support or related area
• Intermediate proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow all established procedures and regulations
• Physical ability to regularly lift, carry, and position: up to 30 lbs. regularly, up to 40 lbs. frequently, and up to 65 lbs. occasionally
• Ability to communicate effectively and apply general math skills

Preferred qualifications:

• 1-2 years warehousing, inventory, accounting admin support experience within foodservice industry
• Rider pallet jack experience
