Job summary

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Warehouse Distribution Associate in Allentown, PA to ensure accurate inbound and returned pharmaceutical products handling per DSCSA. Role features 1st shift, 6:00am–2:30pm, RF-enabled receiving, fork-lift operations, and real-time inventory control using Manhattan WMS.

Responsibilities include inspecting shipments, confirming details, processing returns, and maintaining regulatory compliance (FDA/DEA) for temperature-sensitive and controlled substances.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma required.
  • 1-3 years of distribution experience.
  • WMS (Manhattan) experience required.
  • Familiarity with DEA, DSCSA, and cGMP compliance.
  • Experience with RF technology.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume settings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational skills and time management.
  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical/Medical Device industry preferred.
  • Ability to work OT and weekends when needed.
  • MHE certification is preferred.

  • Ensure inbound shipments are unloaded safely, timely, and inspected for damages and shortages.
  • Receive inbound shipments, verify product details, and inspect for damage or discrepancies.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure shipment integrity, labeling, and compliance.
  • Process returns per company policies and documentation requirements.
  • Maintain FDA/DEA regulatory compliance with cleanroom integrity and handling of temperature-sensitive and controlled substances.
  • Put-away inbound products to proper bin locations for storage and picking.
  • Participate in cycle counts, audits, and distribution process improvements.
  • Collaborate with Inventory Control and Quality teams to report discrepancies.
  • General housekeeping and coordination with other departments and vendors.
  • Follow Glenmark Safety, Health, and Environmental policies.

About The Job

This role has responsibility for the accurate and compliant handling of inbound and returned pharmaceutical products, ensuring all inbound shipments are received per the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA). This will include efficient handling of incoming goods and processed returns, ensuring that all procedures are followed and documented accurately utilizing Manhattan Warehouse Management System (WMS) for real-time inventory control and traceability.

  • 1st shift position with the hours of 6:00am - 2:30pm
Job Responsibilities

  • Utilizes radio frequency (RF) system and operates forklift to unload trucks, receive shipments, and put‑away inventory.
  • Ensure all inbound shipments are unloaded safely, timely, and inspected for damages and shortages upon receipt.
  • Receive inbound shipments, verify product details against packing slips, and inspect for damage or discrepancies.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure shipment integrity, proper labeling, and compliance.
  • Process returns adhering to company policies, procedures, and documentation requirements.
  • Maintain FDA and DEA regulatory compliance by ensuring cleanroom integrity and proper handling of temperature‑sensitive and controlled substances.
  • Ensure all inbound products are correctly put‑away to bin location for storage, replenishment and picking functions.
  • Participate in cycle counts, audits, and ongoing distribution process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Inventory Control and Quality teams to report inventory discrepancies or damaged goods.
  • Perform general housekeeping, maintenance and organization of the dock and inventory areas; includes hands‑on cleaning and maintenance along with organization and interpersonal skills to coordinate with other departments and outside waste disposal vendor.
  • Follow Glenmark Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Assist in other distribution functional areas as necessary.
Qualifications
Education
  • HS Diploma required.
Experience
  • 1‑3 Years of Distribution Experience.
Knowledge And Skills
  • WMS (Manhattan) experience required.
  • Working with Carrier Vendors, MHE Vendors.
  • Familiarity with DEA, DSCSA, and cGMP compliance.
  • Experience with RF technology.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in high‑volume settings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical and/or Medical Device Industry preferred.

Physical Demands And Abilities
  • The incumbent typically works in a warehouse environment and the noise level is typical of a warehouse.
  • Incumbent may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday.
  • The incumbent is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 40 pounds.
Compensation And Benefits
  • Salary Range: $40,000 - 50,000 USD.

The compensation range provided reflects the expected base compensation only and does not include potential bonuses, incentive plans, or benefits. An individual’s final compensation offer will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to education level, relevant experience, training, and geographic location.
