Job summary

COMMUNITY HARVEST FOOD BANK OF NORTHEAST IN, INC is hiring a Warehouse Associate for the South Building in Fort Wayne, Indiana. You’ll support Receiving, Order Fulfillment, Reclamation, and Cooler/Freezer areas, ensuring accurate, timely handling of donations and customer orders.

The role requires physical stamina, basic math and English literacy, and the ability to operate standard warehouse equipment, with overtime and weekend availability as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years warehouse experience with forklift/power equipment.
• Willingness to obtain licenses/certificates (forklift, food handling, first aid).
• Spanish language ability desirable.

Responsibilities

• Unload donations and record on receiving reports with pallet tags.
• Pick and stage customer orders accurately per pick sheet.
• Inspect incoming product for accuracy, dates, temperature, pest/contamination.
• Store items safely, rotate inventory using FIFO.
• Operate forklift and other warehouse equipment safely.
• Perform weekly cycle counts and report discrepancies.
• Maintain clean, safe work area at all times.
