Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is hiring for a Warehouse Associate at the Morton Distribution Center in Morton, IL on 2nd or 3rd shift. You will handle receiving, picking, packing, and shipping, using scanners and operating reach trucks, forklifts, and cherry pickers.

The role requires safety-minded teamwork and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Starting pay is $19.91/hour plus a $1.00 shift premium, with bi-weekly pay and benefits from day one, along with potential overtime and opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and able to read, write, and conduct business in English.
• Reliable attendance and strong time-management skills.
• Safety-focused mindset and willingness to follow procedures and wear PPE.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in changing temperatures.
• Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and material-handling activities.
• Use handheld scanners for receiving, counting, and order processing.
• Train and operate equipment such as reach trucks, cherry order pickers, and forklifts.
• Use tools to build shipping containers and apply rust prevention coatings.
• Report equipment defects and maintenance needs and keep a clean, safe work environment.
