Goodwill Industries of Delaware & Delaware County, Inc. is seeking a Reach Truck Operator in New Castle, DE. This full-time temp role involves operating reach trucks, performing safety checks, and ensuring accurate SAP record-keeping to support inventory flow.

You will work 1st shift on a day program, using RF scanners and SAP to move pallets safely to heights and stages. Must have 3+ years of experience and meet PPE standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience operating reach trucks or similar equipment.
• High spatial awareness and precise equipment control in narrow-aisle, high-bay environments.
• Technical proficiency with SAP Warehouse Management and familiarity with warehouse technology such as tablets and RF scanners.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to operational excellence.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and a criminal background check in compliance with CBP and TSA regulations.
• Steel-toe boots required; PPE provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate stand-up reach trucks to retrieve and put away pallets at heights of 25 to 35 feet in narrow-aisle configurations.
• Maneuver through high-traffic zones with zero contact to racking, sprinklers, or products.
• Perform daily pre-flight safety checks and report mechanical needs to maintenance.
• Use handheld RF scanners to execute SAP transactions with high accuracy.
• Pick and stage outbound shipments based on SAP work orders.
• Audit codes, quantities, and pallet integrity against SAP records.

Are you a precision specialist who thrives in a high-bay warehouse? We are looking for experienced Reach Truck Operators to be the backbone of a busy warehouse’s inventory flow, using high-reach stand‑up forklifts to manage vertical storage with maximum density and safety. This role calls for high spatial awareness, technical proficiency with SAP Warehouse Management, and a commitment to operational excellence. This role is on 1st shift in a professional, team‑oriented environment

What You’ll Do

• Expertly operate stand‑up reach trucks to retrieve and put away pallets at heights of 25 to 35 feet within narrow‑aisle configurations.
• Maneuver safely through high‑traffic zones with zero contact to racking, sprinklers, or products.
• Conduct and digitally document daily pre‑flight safety checks; immediately elevate mechanical needs to maintenance.
• Use handheld RF scanners to execute real‑time transactions in SAP, ensuring 100% accuracy for every pallet movement and transfer.
• Pick and stage outbound shipments to optimize loading windows based on SAP‑generated work orders.
• Audit product codes, quantities, and pallet integrity against digital SAP records during putaway.
• Maintain a “safety scout” mindset, identifying and reporting floor hazards immediately while adhering to all OSHA standards.
• Meet or exceed hourly pallet‑movement targets while maintaining a damage‑free record.
• Collaborate with floor leads to resolve bottlenecks and maintain warehouse organization.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience operating reach trucks or similar equipment (propane fuel equipment experience preferred)
• High spatial awareness and precise equipment control in narrow‑aisle, high‑bay environments.
• Technical proficiency with SAP Warehouse Management, and familiarity with warehouse technology such as tablets and RF scanners.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to operational excellence.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and a criminal background check in compliance with CBP and TSA regulations.
• Steel‑toe boots required; all other required personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided.

Equipment Certifications

Reach Truck certifications are preferred but not required. Candidates should demonstrate previous experience operating the equipment safely and effectively.

Available Shifts

• 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
