Job summary

IKEA is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support DC operations in the Maryland/DC area. Responsibilities include picking, packing, shipping, receiving, replenishment and storing with a customer-first approach.

Candidate should have at least 1 year of related experience, be able to lift up to 70 lbs, stand/walk for long periods, and communicate fluently in English and local language. Warehouse/forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of related experience.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs./30kgs ergonomically.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Fluent in English and local language, both written and spoken.
• Previous warehouse and forklift experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Reach excellence in daily running of DC operations for picking, packing, shipping, receiving, replenishment and storing with the customer in focus.
• Manage picking, packing, shipping, receiving, replenishment and storing of goods and contribute to goals of the action plan.
• Unload inbound/outbound goods safely and secure merchandise for movement in the distribution center.
• Contribute to warehouse operations goals, drive local plans, and analyze workload for volume and seasonal needs.
• Remove and document all damages found or caused on inbound/outbound merchandise.
• Take on additional tasks and projects as assigned.
