Job summary

IKEA is hiring for a full-time warehouse associate in our Maryland DC Operations. You will pick, pack, ship, receive, replenish and store goods with a strong customer focus, while contributing to daily goals and continuous improvement.

The role requires lifting up to 70 lbs./30 kgs, long periods of standing/walking, and English fluency. Prior warehouse and forklift experience is preferred, but not required. Multiple shifts available; pay rate shown below.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of related warehousing experience.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs./30 kgs and stand/walk for long periods.
• Fluent in English and local language.
• Previous warehouse and forklift experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage picking, packing, shipping, receiving, replenishment and storing of the goods. Contribute with ideas and inputs to the agreed goals of the action plan in the daily work.
• Effectively unload and handle inbound/outbound goods. Secure merchandise properly to allow for safe movement through the distribution center.
• Contribute to the overall warehouse operations goals setting, drive the implementation of local business plans/projects and analyze existing workload to secure daily volume handling and meet seasonal fluctuation needs.
• Remove and properly document all damages found or caused on inbound/outbound merchandise.
• Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects assigned, where applicable.
