Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking Warehouse Operations staff in Boston. You will receive and fulfill orders, pick and pack products, and prepare shipments while maintaining safety and accuracy. Training for equipment like order pickers, forklifts, and reach trucks is provided.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting. Shift is Sunday, Monday, and Thursday from 8:30pm to 12:30am.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfort with heights 20–30 ft.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for a full shift.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to follow directions and adapt priorities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with computers or POS systems is a plus.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic English reading/writing for documents.

Responsibilities

• Follow established process to fulfill orders, including picking, QC, packing and preparing shipments.
• Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas and participate in projects as needed.
• Perform housekeeping and inventory control for a clean, safe work environment.
• Be willing to train and be certified to operate material handling equipment (eg. forklift, pallet jack).

Anticipated hourly range :$25.00 per hour - $25.70 per hour based on experience (includes shift differential)

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Follow established process to fulfill orders. This includes accurately picking products, performing quality control checks, packing products, and preparing orders for shipment.
• Cross-training in multiple areas of the warehouse and participating in projects as needed.
• Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Willingness to train and be certified to drive material handling equipment as required by job duty. Example equipment in the facility includes order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie ride

Qualifications

• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift
• Mustbe flexible to work overtime as needed

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting established performance quotas and attendance requirements
• Experience working with technologies, like computers or point of sale systems, a plus
• High School Diploma/GED preferred
• Basic proficiency in English is required, including being able to read and write in English in order to process documents
