Job summary

Cardinal Health is hiring for a Warehouse Operations Associate II in Salt Lake City. The role supports outbound activities, receiving inbounds, and meeting quality and safety standards. You will operate materials handling equipment and assist with order fulfillment.

Expect a Monday–Wednesday shift with overtime as needed, and an hourly range that reflects experience and location. Cardinal Health emphasizes teamwork, training, and a safe, compliant work environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfort working with heights 20-30 feet regularly.
• Previous experience operating material handling equipment (PIT) and RF scanners or voice-picking systems preferred.
• Must be able to work overtime with little to no advance notice.
• Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate into various areas of the warehouse.
• Basic proficiency in English, including reading and writing in English required.

Responsibilities

• Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to process orders including picking, quality checks, sorting and packing for shipment.
• Follow direction and adapt priorities while working independently or with a team.
• Pick large items with equipment or small items onto designated carts.
• Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas and participate in projects as needed.
• Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) to check in/out products.
• Drive equipment such as cherry picker, forklift, reach truck, pallet jack, etc.
• Complete housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a safe environment.
• Work routine assignments and resolve problems under supervision as needed.
• Attend associate meetings and communicate concerns to management.
• Wear PPE like steel-toed shoes and safety harness per site policies.

Job description

Shift: Monday -Wednesday from 12:30pm to 9:00pm or until completion of work

Anticipated hourly range: $20.06-$22.96 per hour based on experience (includes shift differential)

Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.

Job Summary

The Assoc II, Warehouse Ops assists on Outbound activities as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor meeting quality, safety, productivity and operational standards. This job receives products in the Inbound section. As far as the outbound section, this job ships products.

Responsibilities

• Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to process orders including accurately picking, performing quality control checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building, and wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and preparing orders for shipment.


• Ability to follow direction and change priorities while working independently or as a member of a team.


• Pick large case items with material handling equipment or pick small unit of measure items and place on designated cart.


• Cross-train in multiple areas of the warehouse and participate in projects as needed.


• Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) to check in and/or send out products.


• Drive material handling equipment as required by job duty. Example equipment in the facility may include order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider.


• Complete housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.


• Work on routine assignments that require problem resolution.


• Participate in associate meetings and communicate any concerns to management.


• Adhere to site safety regulations including wearing required personal protective equipment such as steel toed safety shoes, and material handling equipment safety harness; accountable to Cardinal Health’s EHS as well as QRA policies and procedures.
