Responsibilities

• Receive incoming donations and sort merchandise per procedures.

• Assist warehouse staff with loading and unloading of donated items; ensure items are undamaged.
• Operate heavy equipment; training and certification will be provided as needed.
• Work with Warehouse Assistant Manager on daily duties.
• Foster positive relationships with donors and educate them about programs.

GENERAL SUMMARY

The part-time Warehouse Associate will receive incoming donations, and sort and process merchandise according to proper procedure. Duties include maintaining cleanliness of warehouse(s) and surrounding areas, including but not limited to, restrooms, donation sorting areas, storage areas and grounds.

Responsibilities in the Donation Drop Off area include receive incoming merchandise and food donations, accordingly, sorting and processing them for the appropriate places, foster long-lasting relationship and educate donors regarding our programs and services.

• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the commercial waste receptacle area, including the breaking down of large unsalable items and placing neatly into appropriate receptacles.
• Responsible for the movement of processed and unprocessed donations and other items between warehouses and storage areas.
• Required to operate heavy equipment; will be trained and certified as needed.
• Assist warehouse staff with the loading and unloading of donated items, ensuring that they remain undamaged and are placed in the correct position and location.
• Work closely with the Warehouse Assistant Manager and assist with daily duties.

Requirements

Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Travel Demands: Flexibility in work hours; this position requires some overtime and ability to work on some holidays.
