Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is hiring for an onsite manufacturing/assembly position in Buford, GA. You will perform duties that include repetitive processes, heavy lifting, and component installation for heavy‑duty trucks.

Applicants should be able to work with computer systems, read drawings and BOMs, and operate power tools. A High School Diploma or GED is preferred, with safety and quality focus essential to success.

Qualifications

• Starting pay of $25.92/hr.

Hours of Operation:

Monday- Friday 6:00am-10:00am or 7:00am-11:00am

What You Drive at DTNA

• Perform physically demanding manufacturing duties including: repetitive processes, moderate to heavy lifting, the use of machinery, and following standardized work procedures

• Actively participate in improving work area in terms of safety, quality, attendance, productivity, suggestion activities, housekeeping, and throughput

• Install and assemble components for heavy-duty trucks

• Use computer systems to access company data associated with the assembly process, utilize drawings, bills of materials and specification sheets in both electronic and hard copy

• Operate the following tools and equipment: jigs and fixtures, pneumatic and DC tools for fasteners and assembly of heavy-duty trucks

Knowledge You Should Bring

• Must be capable of repetitive hand manipulation, grasping and supporting power tools

• Must be able to stand on concrete for entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 45 pounds.

• Must maintain a clean work area.

• Meet quality standards and implement continuous improvement measures.

• Cross train on other jobs as required.

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

• Previous experience in a manufacturing (automotive/trucking) environment

• Previous mechanical experience

• High School Diploma / GED and further college education a plus
