Qualifications

  • Physical ability to twist, stoop, squat, and lift heavy items.

Position Description

Ryder is immediately hiring permanent full-time Skilled and Semi-Skilled Construction Laborers to ensure expert craftsmanship at our warehouse manufacturing facility in Dallas, Texas.

Walk-In Hiring Event

Tuesday, April 29th: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Wednesday, April 30th: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Positions in warehouse, manufacturing, and construction pay weekly.

  • Hourly Pay: $16.00 per hour
  • Additional Pay: $0.52 piece rate after training
  • Schedule: First Shift (Friday - Sunday, 4:00 am - 2:30 pm), Second Shift (Monday, 4:00 pm - 2:30 am)

Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 0-1 year experience in carpentry or construction preferred
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to operate power tools safely
  • Following repair processes
  • Physical ability to twist, stoop, squat, reach overhead, and crouch frequently
  • Lifting minimum of 75 lbs using proper techniques
  • Standing and walking for extended periods (at least 2 hours, multiple times daily)
  • Performing repetitive movements with hands and feet
Responsibilities
  • Safely repair pallets meeting company safety and quality standards
  • Operate pry bars, hammers, grinders, saws, and nail guns
  • Lift pallets manually (up to 70 lbs)
  • Ensure pallets pass CHEP quality control
  • Maintain a clean work area
  • Promote safety and comply with OSHA and MSDS standards
  • Wear all safety gear during repairs
  • Perform additional duties as required
