Transfill Warehouse Technician – Cylinder Filler

Rotech Healthcare Inc. is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Warehouse Technician to join our Transfill Division. If you have experience in warehouse operations, equipment handling, or mechanical work, this is your chance to play a vital role in preparing life‑sustaining oxygen for patients across the region. In this role, you’ll be responsible for safely filling high‑pressure oxygen cylinders, maintaining equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation—all within a clean, organized, and safety‑focused environment.

• Fill and prepare high‑pressure oxygen tanks for delivery to healthcare locations.
• Operate and maintain filling equipment to ensure safe and efficient performance.
• Complete production and delivery documentation accurately and legibly.
• Follow all safety protocols and participate in hazardous materials handling training.
• Identify and report equipment hazards or safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean and compliant work area in accordance with company, city, and state regulations.
• Learn and develop technical knowledge of respiratory products and durable medical equipment (DME/HME).
• Support quality improvement initiatives and meet JCAHO standards.
• Process orders and maintain inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

Required Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent, required

Preferred Education and/or Experience

• One year or more of warehouse, manufacturing, or mechanical experience (preferred)

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing
• Positive attitude with a helpful and professional demeanor
• Comfortable interpreting instructions and working with various communication tools
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment and processes
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi‑task
• Capable of performing basic math calculations
• Organized, self‑motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 25 lbs or more regularly
• Comfortable with standing, walking, sitting, talking, and listening throughout the day
• Able to load, unload, push, pull, and move equipment safely
• Requires close vision for reading labels, paperwork, and digital screens

Technical Skills

• Basic knowledge of email and internet navigation
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook)
• Ability to operate standard office equipment (fax, copier, printer, phone, computer)
• Experience using warehouse machinery for loading and unloading (preferred)
• Understanding of home medical equipment and supplies (a plus)
