Job summary

Morales Beverage Group in Houston, TX is seeking a Warehouse Associate, Outbound to join our outbound shipping team. You will pick, pack, label and prepare orders, operate forklifts and pallet jacks, and ensure accurate inventory in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will collaborate with teammates to meet daily shipping targets and maintain clean, organized storage areas while following company safety guidelines and procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures.
• Willingness to work occasional weekend hours.
• Must be able to pass a background and drug screening for hire and randomly throughout employment.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed. Schedule changes communicated in advance.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, cherry pickers, electric pallet jacks, and reach trucks.
• Use handheld devices to generate and apply labels to products.
• Pick and pack orders in various warehouse environments including temperature-controlled and non-temperature-controlled areas.
• Ensure accurate inventory by selecting cases correctly and reporting discrepancies.
• Shrink-wrap products on the loading dock to secure shipments.
• Maintain clean, organized warehouse and adhere to safety procedures.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Associate will be responsible for various warehouse tasks, including order selection, cleaning and maintaining inventory accuracy directed by the warehouse management team. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to operate warehouse equipment, and a commitment to safety.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely and efficiently operate various warehouse equipment, including forklifts, cherry pickers, electric pallet jacks, and reach trucks to transport products.
• Utilize handheld devices to generate and accurately apply labels to products.
• Accurately pick and pack orders in diverse warehouse environments with varying temperatures, including non-temperature controlled, temperature-controlled, and bonded storage areas.
• Ensure precise inventory management by selecting cases correctly and promptly reporting any discrepancies.
• Secure products by shrink-wrapping them on the loading dock.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment by adhering to aisle assignments and performing end-of-shift cleanup to promote workplace safety.
• Work collaboratively with team members across various departments to achieve daily production targets and deadlines.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures when operating equipment and handling materials.
• Participate in all required company and daily safety meetings.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Physically capable of frequently lifting products weighing 1-75 lbs, with occasional lifts up to 100 lbs. Must be able to reach heights of up to 72 inches, and perform constant bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods while operating equipment and retrieving items from lower shelves.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to tasks.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
