Job summary

Cardinal Health's Aurora facility supports pharmaceutical supply chain and warehouse operations. You will receive and fulfill orders to ensure patients receive needed products, while following established processes for picking, packing, and shipping.

The role offers night shifts Sunday through Thursday with a base pay of $22.35 per hour (includes shift differential). No prior warehouse experience is required as training is provided, with opportunities to cross-train and advance.

Qualifications

• No prior warehouse experience required; training provided on day one.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work overtime and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Follow established process to fulfill orders, including picking, packing, quality checks, and shipment preparation.
• Cross-training in multiple warehouse areas or participate in projects as assigned.
• May wear steel-toed boots in the warehouse.
• May work in cold temperatures during parts of the shift.
• Conduct housekeeping and inventory control to maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Train and be certified to operate material handling equipment (order picker, forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, walkie rider).

Schedule : Sunday nights from 5:00pm-1:30am (or until work is finished) and Monday-Thursday nights from 6:00pm-2:30am (or until work is finished).

Pay Rate : $22.35 per hour (includes shift differential).

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Follow established process to fulfill orders. This includes accurately picking products, performing quality control checks, packing products, and preparing orders for shipment.
• Cross-training in multiple areas of the warehouse and/or participating in projects as assigned by your manager or other management team member as needed.
• May be required to occasionally wear steel-toed boots in the warehouse while performing certain job duties.
• May be responsible for working in cold temperatures throughout segments of the shift.
• Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Willingness to train and be certified to drive material handling equipment as required by job duty. Example equipment in the facility includes order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift
• Must be flexible to work overtime as needed
• Ability to follow direction and change priorities
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting established performance quotas and attendance requirements
• Experience working with technologies, like computers or point of sale systems, a plus
• High School Diploma/GED preferred
