Job description

Shift Details

• 12 PM start (until work is completed)
• Monday - Friday
• Mandatory Overtime

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• 1 - 2 years related experience preferred
• Previous material handling experience strongly preferred
• Radio frequency (RF) scanner and/or voice to pick experience highly preferred
• Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs. and be able to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for entire shift of 8 hours or more
• Must be able to work overtime with little to no advance notice
• Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate into various areas of the warehouse
• Work at heights up to 25 feet consistently
• Adherence to site safety regulations including wearing required personal protective equipment such as steel-toed safety shoes and safety harnesses; accountable to Cardinal Health’s EHS and QRA policies and procedures
• Aptitude to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting hourly distribution quotas and performance standards

Responsibilities in this role

• Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas including Inbound, ValueLink, and Outbound
• Receive large boxes on warehouse dock, scan product with RF scanner, and input product information into computer
• Break down cases of product and operate heavy equipment to replenish warehouse
• Use voice-to-pick system to select large case items with material handling equipment or small units of measure and place on cart
• Palletize large items to skid and wrap for shipment
• Pack small items in boxes
• Drive material handling equipment such as order picker, forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider as required

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

• Performing and controlling manual or automated tasks necessary for receipt, storage, and shipment of products
• Functions include receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, and delivery
• Ensure the efficient flow of products from receipt to shipment to internal and external customers

• Complete standard tasks using acquired knowledge and skills
• Learn and apply new information and methods in assigned areas
• Maintain necessary licenses, training, and certifications
• Work on routine assignments with some problem resolution
• Follow standard operating procedures and quality guidelines
• Work under moderate supervision with regular review of output
• Refer complex issues to supervisor

Pay rate: $21.36 per hour (includes shift differential)
